Sasszrin's Dungeon
Sasszrin is - or rather was - a name that inspired fear and respect several
centuries ago, amongst the Netherese. It has been read in very old reports that
he was a most famous wizard who ruled over an enclave (a Netherese floating
city). The only work from this wizard that contemporary sages have been able
to read is a treaty explaining how to choose and treat apprentices. In this
book, Sasszrin explained how he selected young wizards who were 'worthy' of
being his apprentices: he sent them on very dangerous and deadly quests and
only accepted those few that came back alive. Throughout the book, it is
rather clear that Sasszrin only considered others as tools to help him
inscrease his power. It is said that he even built a whole dungeon filled
with deadly traps and riddles to test people who could serve him.
