Serving Ilmater
Followers of Ilmater work all across Faerun but are mainly found in the
south-western lands of Tethyr and Calimshan, and in the Bloodstone Lands of
Impiltur and Damara. Ilmateri can often be found working in the harshest
places, freeing slaves or healing the poor in places like the slums of
Calimport or Zhentil Keep.
The faithful of Ilmater are known as Ilmateri or Ilmatari. Ilmater's clergy
are known as the Adorned and while each temple, cloister, and monastery has
its own hierarchy, faithful generally address each other as brother/sister or
father/mother for senior members. Senior clerics are known as Painbearers.
