Roana, I'm open to ideas as to how you would like to see a Orc RP unfold.
If it can get you and a few others to rp with us more often, then that's the goal!

Re: Law on Faerun
The specific example I'm talking about was essentially this: unwanted touching and a slap to the face was discussed as assault and labeled a matter for the watch. In any medieval society, Faerun and probably most places outside of Greenwich, CT and Beverly Hills, CA (USA) a lawman would laugh at yo...

Currently, if you fumble, the weapon is dropped on the ground. The new code of having a mob pick-it up is neat. I like the new code change, my only concern is the same as Kregor. Quite a few mobs junk their inventory on death. This has then potential to be a big problem and the source of many emails...

I as well love this idea especially in dungeons where you don't really need to worry about the lvl of the chars as each dungeon should already has a lvl base associated with it. Take Undermountain, as you go deeper in, the random encounter will create higher lvl mobs. Maybe even with a 1% of meeting...

Seems I was slightly wrong! phpbb version 2.0.11 onwards uses the captcha image verification system which requires a new member to enter a set of letters and numbers from a generated image before being able to sign up. Switch it on in the Admin Control Panel under in the Configuration menu If and on...

- Topic: Who list - suggestion

That's what I was trying to get to in the first place. I've see players use the who list to find a char for PK purposes. I've seen players use the who list to avoid areas where they might run into a certain PC. I've seen players address other by name simply by using the who list I've seen players us...

Okay, how about a compromise: config -/+ who With the default set to -. If you want your char to be seen on the who list without a greet, then adjust your config setting. As the the finger command, I think it should be tweaked to no work with adjectives. HP, IMM and NC would still get to see the who...

Thanks Ellian, this is exactly what I suggested in my original post, you just made it that much simpler to understand :) The Who list shows all you have already greeted, but still tell you how many players are on. I find this to be much more IC and this will avoid all the OCC guessing that happens. ...

To elaborate on my original suggestion, imms and any heroes would have access to the whole list to spot such things as hopefuls. Though I like your idea Estrild, I think it will be a bit of a nightmare to code. As well, if memory serves correctly, my understanding is that it's not a direction that i...

Who list - suggestion
I have a suggestion to make. I think it might be more IC to have the who list only show the players that have greeted you. It would still show the total that are playing on the mud. This is to stop players from assuming who you might be by just looking at the who list. Or using the who list to avoid...

Arrows do 1d6 but can hit from a distance. That's an advantage no melee weapon has. :) As for the STR advantage, not sure if this applies in FK but a composite longbow will give you that STR bonus to your damage. And if I remember right, a shortbow does as well to a max of +2 damage. I was never one...
