Re: Dwarves and Flying and Racial Stubbornness
Mining metals are open to everyone - even named metals concerned can be mined by nondwarves. As far as I know, the only trade that is dwarf specific is armour smithing. And I don't see many dwarves especially specialising in it either. It's not a player's job to draw the line. Yes, that's why I'm ra...

Re: Dwarves and Flying and Racial Stubbornness
Then a simple excuse for things they do will be,
"My dwarf likes magic, flying, teleporting, riding, sailing, talking with elves, trading with drow, haggling with orcs..."
Wait. How extreme does it get before someone draws the line?

Dwarves and Flying and Racial Stubbornness
Lately I can't help but noticing the number of dwarves flying around everywhere. They're zipping past in the wilderness, they're zipping past in Waterdeep, heck, they're even zipping past in ZK. I know dwarven clerics get air walk (and I do know where this spell comes from, I wonder why a dwarven cl...

Re: Priests and Faiths
One way to compensate for easier faithing would be to limit clerics who get faithed to be limited to level 3 spells (that would apply to unfaithed clerics as well). The clerics will get into the faith as an initiate (or a new faith level lower than initiate), and they can get to cast more spells as ...

Re: Sewer baubles, low levels and similar things
I don't know - why would a level 2 want to stay around for 20 hours (possibly idling, unless you have your name AUTHed early and have a description up) just to enjoy the benefits of better XP? A low level character has nothing to do on FK besides grinding. I'm sorry, but that's how it works here. Ri...

Probably along the lines of... level 1, 1d6 sneak attack. level 3, 2d6 sneak attack. level 5, 3d6 sneak attack etc.

Re: Books, Plagiarism, Copyright Infringements
What if the bard's been gone for 2 years? What if the author's anonymous?
I would have considered those points if I could, but some bards may just have met their maker already.

Re: Books, Plagiarism, Copyright Infringements
Alright, all of this is IN GAME. Let's say Amy found three very interesting books. Let's say they are books of Story, Song, and Wisdom. Amy thinks these are fantastic knowledge that should be spread around. She gets a few scribes together and makes a few copies of them and hands them out as flyers. ...

Books, Plagiarism, Copyright Infringements
I recently found some interesting books on a character and I wonder if there are any sort of plagiarism or copyright infringements in the game? I'm asking because I want to have notes of the book copied out and handed out. Is this allowed?

Tailor did and should be able to work. It worked before and it is not working now.
As per Selveem's post, it should work as the help file states.

Bonus Feats
Hello. I've a question regarding bonus feats. I know it's not been announced yet, but I just noticed something when I was looking through my "feats". Feat Points: 5 Bonus Feat Points: 1 This got me curious - How does someone get a bonus feat point? I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with...

Re: Ghostwise Halfling Priest Alignments
I go absolutely wild thinking about a posse of little rabid Malarite halflings. Does anyone else think that's the best thing ever, or is it just me? I want to do a +1, but I guess I will be slain for it. The idea of a Malarite ghostwise is why I revisited this post and dusted off all the cobwebs fr...

Re: Ghostwise Halfling Priest Alignments
I've recently revisted this idea of ghostwise druids to find that they are still restricted by the halfling priest alignments. I've been wondering if what kelemvor says still applies, because it seems to be a notice saying special RP for halflings following other deities is currently not accepted. I...

Turn Undead for Evil
Is the skill Turn Undead is supposed to work for evil clerics?
As an evil cleric, I tried to turn some undead but nothing happens to the undead. They do not flee or come under my control.

In line with your proposal though, I'd support humans gaining an additional feat upon character creation, but I don't think skill gain is a good idea, it would just encourage humans as the new power gamer race. The key is to make all races generally balanced rather than give one or another the new ...
