I believe I'm the one this refers to - for the record, I trained the third rank after I joined the guild, not before. Don't know if that makes a difference or not. And I know at least two rangers, not counting mine, who uses heavy armour when in battle.

Well, that might be so in normal life. But how many people in RL do you see getting 'heal'ed, resurrected, and things like that? After all, resurrection generates a whole new body - maybe a much younger version of the old one?

I think it'd be nice to have paint available, for armorsmithing. A 'paint' command would apply it, sort of like a automatic rename.

There's a helpfile, kismet costs for various races. It has the kismet costs, though I think it needed updated last I checked.

Of course you realize, the exp comes from hitting the mob, not from killing it. So if all you do is administer the death blow, that's all you get exp for.
