As someone who has only ever played one wizard (and only to mid-to-high-20s in level) the only complaint I have with the difficulty of levelling is that it is not challenging enough.

With the exception, perhaps, of the starter area dummies? For new players, you know. Otherwise I think that dummies fighting at all is silly, too.

Even killing a non-faith member is too far for some of these guys, I'd say. a Tyrran dummy wouldn't kill ANYONE, would he? Maybe a Beshaban dummy or something, but the animating wizards of the churches of goodly faiths definitely wouldn't want their creations killing anyone, restricted access or not.

EDIT : Amulets function in spell pouches, but I would advise not using them in this fashion until a staff member says it is fine. Better safe than bug abusing!!!! my true neutral moon elf mage suffers no penalty to casting in any instance of casting spells, no matter what type armor the character wears or what the score sheet says the character's chance for failure is.

It could be implemented using a really simple mob trigger in circlemud. I'm not sure which codebase FK is on since I'm a total noob at life but I doubt it would be much different here. Personally I feel that the guard should tell someone to sheathe, and if after 20 seconds (I'm being generous here) they've not done it, they get hauled off for 5 irl minutes of sullen time-out in the waterdeep jail.

An axe isn't really a commonly used tool of murder in this year of 2011, though. Not nearly so dangerous in the public eye as it must have been in these dark ages.
