Re: Judging Interest in Goodly Wargames
Sounds cool, but when I logged on in the middle of the day, there's only like 7 total people on. Is this normal for how things are lately?

Re: Fewer PvP Rules if Not on Killmode Kill?
I'm way late to this discussion and don't really have a stake in the race, but I will bring up my experience with PK on this MUD: Manadhon vs Nerian. That rivalry went on for weeks. The two were constantly at each other's throats, and a wide variety of other PCs became involved in their plot. It was...

Re: [FEAT] Metamagic Feats & Availability
This suggestion is a fairly simple one: Make metamagic feats more widely taught. I'm not certain, but out of the NPC teachers I've found it seems some of them may not have teachers in-game. Ever since the revamp of metamagic feats a while back, I've been planning a wizard that would actually use po...

Sanctuary still working?
I'm wondering if the sanctuary effect was removed from the shamans and acolytes in Howling Peaks, or if it's simply no longer working properly? I'm not getting the message of 'you break through so and so's protective wards' anymore. Just the approach echo.

Re: Handcrossbow Question
Well, as Atraos suggests, they're -wielded- in one hand. However, technically, so are Bows. It's the act of reloading that requires two hands. I'm not sure how crossbows are currently coded, as I haven't played with them on FK at all. Normally though, hand cross bows would only get 1 shot per round,...

Unignitable wood
It is light wooden shield.
It is just the right size for you to wear.
It can be picked up, held.
It cannot be worn with any other armour.
It is small in size and would fit a humanoid.
It is made of ebony and weighs about 3 pounds.
That is not flamable.

Already done, pending code council approval, when I read your other post. So you've wasted your time suggesting things twice! =D

In addition, this post shows some very direct quest information, and is thus likely in violation of something or other.

Re: Thann quest in Waterdeep - expand quest log
Coming from someone who has plenty of problems on the forums, keeping my temper under control, I'm going to suggest that maybe people try to be less demanding, and less rude, in their posts. When someone offers answers, you should accept them kindly with thanks. Someone might also consider the fact ...

Re: TRAINERS - MISSING FEATS
Ah, apologies then Mele. I seemed to remember something like this in bugs, and thought there was a comment that it would be better placed in suggestions or this thread, or something, and thought it was moved. Regardless, I maintain that weapon skills/feats are closely enough related that this would ...

Re: Some problems with bows
I believe that the '-2' that is shown only applies when using the weapon as a staff. I believe that the code accurately uses dexterity, and crossbow skill, when using a crossbow at range.

Re: TRAINERS - MISSING FEATS
Well, as a drow, I see lots of single-edged and thrusting blades trainers, but haven't seen one for crossbow yet, and I'd love to try ranged combat. Trillarel, this list is for missing feats. Skills should be a completely separate post. If you mean a feat that is missing, please list the feat you b...

Re: Helpfile Changes!
Vielen Dank! Thanks a lot. One more nitpick - as I am thinking of creating a half-orc, I'd like to know what bonuses the half-orcs get in FK. So could we get racial bonuses (pluses to attributes, darkvision/low-light vision) listed in the relevant help pages. Personally, I'm opposed to that idea. I...

Re: Hunger Code
Yes. It takes a decent bit of time and effort to make these things, and while I really only use them for RP, it would be nice if there was a minor coded benefit to the effort. On the flip side, Lirith is in the habit of eating four in a row and there's no way that is about to change any time soon! ...

Re: Advantages to other killmodes
Ok, what about this line from help killmode: If either combatant is in killmode spar or killmode nofight it will automatically force the other combatant to a round by round killmode. So... does that mean I can killmode spar a purple worm? Please refer to what Gwain said: The benefit to using other ...

Re: goblin - suggestions/help
In addition to all the very good points Mele makes, yes, to play a goblin rogue, you would need the goblin cost, plus the 200 kismet rogue cost, I believe. The 200 kismet wouldn't be consumed, but you have to have it. To my knowledge, all races have a 200 kismet requirement on rogues, because they'r...

Odd damage bonus
So, I'm wielding a +1 dagger on a character with 8 strength. When the weapon was equipped in off hand, I was doing 1d3+1 damage, but when equipped on main hand, I am doing 1d3+0. The latter code should be the correct one. Not sure why I was getting the damage bonus with off hand, except that str 'bo...
