Re: A sad message for everyone...
Thank you everyone for the well wishes and the stories. It's always nice to hear about her exploits, and even better to hear about how she helped others.

A sad message for everyone...
Hey everyone, It's been a while since anyone has seen me here, and considering I don't remember how I left off with everyone, I'll just reintroduce myself. I'm Alexan Histub, and I go by Alex in real life, though that is my middle name. I played here some years ago, and due to personal issues, I sto...

I would also suggest Melgard's Leather shop to have an auto closing door on the reset. That one gets me every time.

Re: Playing a Monk
Yes, if they are weapon type 62 (cestus), which is a brawling weapon. Not to mention monks also use things like kamas, quarterstaves, nunchaku.... If you're going the fighter route, and considering there's nothing like a Ki strike in game yet, there's no reason you can't theoretically use one of th...

Hunger and Thirst commands
I remember someone (credit goes to Tyeslan if I'm remembering correctly, and I'll move the post if I can find it) mentioning how they felt hunger and thirst can be detrimental to RP since sometimes you have to feel like you're stuffing your face with thirty bowls of stew before you can continue on w...

Re: Order of attacks in first ground of group combat
Just remember an imperfect solution to this is turning off auto assist. Normally that gives me at least one sneak attack, though maybe that's only when I'm hiding. I'll test it out more.

Re: Paladin Squires: Call for Input
The changes to the system over the years have been nothing but positive, but the crux of the issue still remains and that is finding the time to RP with your mentor and at this point I feel I should add an apology for my sporadic appearances over the last year or so. In my view, roleplay with mento...

I certainly think this is not the only place and race that needs trainers added, but I'll add my name to the agreed list.

Re: Fighters: Fifth attack & Bonus feats
I've always advocated fixing other classes instead of screwing with one that seems a little above the others. Just leave fighters alone and try to fix paladin and ranger issues. Agreed. Paladins can still fail lay on hands and summon mount, last I'm told? And gaining Ranger feats would probably hel...

Re: Paladin Squires: Call for Input
Yes, but while they might be based on traditional knights, would it still be available to have the option of picking something other than spurs? This might be a girly thing, shoot me for putting a gender(and my ignorance in thinking of spurs, and cowboys, not knights) on this, and while we might be...

Beat me to the punch on this. A harness would be exactly what I think is proper for a bow.

Re: Sunelves
Bah. I promise this is my last post in this topic, because it's just too twisted. I'm more afraid the debate will be an argument soon, and the advantages and disadvantages on both sides have been addressed. Applications, my final word on it. We play in a setting, the setting has general cultural rul...

Re: Sunelves
tl;dr = Characters shouldn't be confined to exactly what the helpfiles describe as "normal" behavior. I agree to an extent with your post, and with Thisiana's, and when I started posting, I even mentioned that adventurers are rarely the norm within their groups of people. I understand com...

Re: Paladin Squires: Call for Input
I think being reliant on IC mentors to continue your training is one of the downfalls. RL tends to hit people, and not everyone has the time for the classes, and events to continue a squires training. I think the squires need to become more self run, with the aid of NPC's to continue training, or s...

Re: Sunelves
EDIT: I forgot to add my point about the quizzes. I actually do agree with race quizzes, and while google may solve them for you, it also makes you go to google to search, and more than likely you will find out information you may not have known, and can fix, or adjust your RP accordingly before ma...

Re: Sunelves
... but possibly we could have a quiz that must be answered before choosing one of these races - as an alternative to or in conjunction with kismet cost. I'm not against your suggestion, my only problem is that with google most quizzes, unless they are unique and more based in FK created lore, it's...
