Re: [EVENT] Call to all bards and artists of Faerun

Hello!
Esselwyr would love to come but since I work 12 hour shifts Saturday and Sunday, my weekends are horrible for attending events. If this is a Saturday before 5 PM EST, I can definatly make it. If my constrained Saturday works, please put Esselwyr down for one or two songs.

Player journals

I have been digging through some of my old logs (been away for a bit and my apologies) and I have learned that I have alot of lorish, songs, tales and other materials. At the moment, I am taking advantage of the in-game note/write system and writing my stuff on individual pieces of parchment. Within...

Re: General Questions

Non-drow characters resisting magic One of my prayers echoed a resistance. I chalked it up to maybe my gear, protective spells (no magic resistance), etc. But I tried it on another elf, who swears he's not part drow and he also echoed the resistance. Should I log this as a bug the next time it occurs?

Performing arts for the non-bard pc

Hello!
I am seeking info on how non-bards emote/smote songs or performing arts without stepping on the toes of coded bards. Thanks!

Meditation bug

In the quest on the High Moors (south east corner, when one meditates before Ryalin Silverbow, you cannot rise from the meditation. Sleeping and waking will break the endless meditation. Also, south of him is the entrance/exit: A barren stretch of land N-A ruined paveme Barren and grey, little distu...

Re: Resources about Elves.

Hello! I'd like to submit a good resource created by a moderator level member on Candlekeep Forums. I highly recommend this entire site for source, feedback and other information regarding Running the Realms. These guys know their stuff. They eat, sleep, breath canon material to the extend that Ed G...

Re: Big City High RP Areas

If you are not city inclined, Ardeep is good as well. Wouldn't it be great to have a toggle to rp on and have players type where rp and locations show up. I've seen this in other MUDs. This might be a moot point given the nature of the playerbase.

Re: Buying or training from allied temples

Regarding items, I am referring to mundane things aka junk items. A potion case is not a mundane item. I also would not expect a character to be blinged out in another faith's clothing. I would give the whole "not giving access to everyone" more of a belief if the bulk of the player base d...

Buying or training from allied temples

Given that some faiths have been well entrenched and thus staffed/written for, I am suggesting that other allied/like aligned faiths be allowed to study with trainers or buy mundane things from vendors. I know that cults of personality can develop around this because they have staff directly assigne...

Re: A question about faith-based rp

Thanks guys for the feedback. I'm trying the approach suggested and of course More questions came up. Is there an appropriate class for mentoring/ offering wisdom thereof? A few players have given me in game feedback as well. Can we give oocly links to canon based websites like so Sayeth Ed on Candl...

Re: A question about faith-based rp

Thank you every one for your replies and feedback. I'm trying to negotiate this faith dynamic without overstepping boundaries. I am especially taking what staff are saying to heart. Given that, I have a few questions: 1. As an initiate of a faith without a FM, there is heavy reliance on staff to pus...

Re: The newbie experience

I will have to agree with Birk's comments. I heavily rp my character and do a fair bit of exploring and I adopted this stance due to my frustrations at advancing my class. The small player base has created two things: players having multiple character on one account and players knowing each other oo...

A question about faith-based rp

I would like to piggy back off Mele's post about interacting with hopefuls and others within a particular faith. My character's faith has no player FM. Unless my character lurks in the meet market of Ardeep or become a bar fly in Waterdeep, hardly anyone comes to the (rather hard to get to) temple o...

Re: 100 accumulated kismet requirement for wizard

Hi! I'm a new player and my first character ever was a mage character. I still play her as she is really the only character I played and developed. Being a new player and playing one of the most difficult character classes in the game is challenging. And it was frustrating but I liked it. I am going...

Re: Sunelves

Hi! Much of this thread makes me sad as a role-player. I understand that people want to play tweaked characters, I mean...Drizzt is a bad @$$. Heck, I wanted to play a drow of Eilistraee and that's in the books, reference heavily in the dragon magazines, Elves of Evermeet, Elaine Cunningham books, C...
