Hometown choice

Hi! Without spilling IC info which are the reasons for you to choose a hometown from another hometown ? (besides a particular liking of that particular region) More or less I figure the hometowns like: Silverymoon: Scholastic characters and also "Nordish" characters. Waterdeep: Pretty much...

Re: Water on Mars!

Given the large quantity(infinite?) of planetary systems. It is bound to exist life in more than one, the problem is discovering another planetary system in which there is life while still exists life in ours (that is ourselves). As human race we have existed for around 200000 years and as civilizat...

Re: Water on Mars!

Also, we must remember that even if Mars has water, because the air pressure of Mars, out on the surface without a space suit pretty much our bodily fluids would **boil**, while having water on Mars could ease having a scientific outpost there, we must look elsewhere to live. Having water could mean...

Re: Zmud help

After doing some testing I have found what I believe the best solution.

Peferences / General / Command Line / Uncheck wordwrap command line.

You will have to scroll left and right, as you will not get additional lines, but I think it's better than losing all the text on the screen.

Re: PvP Rules Change?

These spells even if not damage dealing are aggresive in nature, the caster should expect retribution. It should be left to the caster and victims either continue the fight, use appropiate killmodes or flee. I would also add that in the moment a caster it's buffing someone or himself with risk of pv...

Re: Rogues' woes: we need help

Sorry to drop the bomb and leave but it was late in old Europe, also now posting from the phone. So... Thieves could use fixed saves, confirmation that sneak attack can trigger for all attacks (including offhand), something about the load. I would also add that they need something to disengage of mo...

Re: Rogues' woes: we need help

They help but their signature skills & spells aren't critical, weak in some cases. With the exception of the odd locked door it is almost always better having any other class than a rogue.

It takes a lot of effort to level them and the rewards of doing it are little.

Re: Rogues' woes: we need help

Yes, they are very party dependent in tabletop, but so they can bring to the table something to make their weight worth.

Rogues' woes: we need help

Hello. I would like to express my concern about what I believe the rogue situation, in all honesty, I think that playing a Bard or a Thief in FK is playing on very hard mode. Their unique talents; spellcasting & singing for bards, lockpicking & detrap & sneak attack for thieves doesn't m...

Zmud help

Hi!

Whenever I either maximize the zmud window or my command line jumps to the next one, my screen gets automatically cleared.

Does anybody knows how to disable that?

Thanks!

Re: Ranger Class Ideas

I don't think that making them beefier would be make them more interesting. Let me explain: Rangers fill sort of a niche between fighters and rogues, with the later having even worse Armor Class (Rangers can cast barkskin & cat's grace, which really helps) I believe that they also get for free d...

Re: Narramsinn - Rangers hide ability

Lay out your argument for it. :) All skills are "generic", there isn't such a thing as "Hide in the Wilds" skill or "Meditate in the Temple" skill, you can make use of them as long it makes sense to use them. If you have the skill to hide it is not much more different ...

Re: Narramsinn - Rangers hide ability

I think that restriction it is outdated at best. A ranger should be to able to hide everywhere period. Furthermore, should he choose to hide in the wilds he should have a bonus to it. A different topic would be a ranger that spends all his time hiding in a city, but they should be able to hide every...

As a lover of rogues, I love the rapier.

It has good stats, even better with improved critical, and it is one of the few non-light weapons that allow the use of the feat weapon finesse.

That would help but with 14 STR you still have to do a lot of micro-managing to stay within a light load.
