Re: [Class] Blackguard
Forgive me, I know the topic is specifically the Black Guard. However, it seems to have taken on a tone of what I'd term an Anti-Paladin, which is indeed supported by the code. The Black Guard prestige class is just that...another prestige class, which is something as of yet beyond the scope of the ...

Re: Character Backgrounds
Look, no one knows about Harroghty's first pair of heels... uhh... To clarify: I think that posting the books in the Kingdom's Journals forum here (or maybe only an excerpt from them) would give them more visibility and encourage people to buy them in the game and, consequently, encourage people to...

Re: [Class] Blackguard
Regarding the "hole" in the power abuse, this is simply not true for dark paladins. They are held to as tight an honor code as any goodly paladin. I've read a LOT of books, and not just FR style. Anyone thinking of the Order of the Black Rose from Dragonlance, here? Or Lord Soth from Raven...

Re: Lichdom and a very simple idea of how to code it.
Good suggestions, all. However, what would be the EXACT requirements of lichdom from an /IC/ perspective? If it requires the above-mentioned potion, there should be ample RP. Also, regarding liches going in and out of "restrictive" places like WD MS, we have orcs aplenty who abide by the s...

Re: Character Backgrounds
Good ideas! And I am a bit ashamed at never having known of the existence of that command! How useful! Very nice. Also, how about a "catalogue" of sorts? You know, something like a "message" board for new/top publications in bookstores across the Realms? (As I am in agreement wit...

Character Backgrounds
I was wondering if it would be feasible and profitable to perhaps include either a forum space, or an application process specifically set up for the posting of character background stories. A lot of folks have really interesting backgrounds, and it would be neat to see them and the fruits of all th...

Barbarian Status
I did a search on the forums, and have found little activity regarding barbarians of late. (with the exception of the post regarding anti-pallies vs. barbarians). I was wondering if there were any plans and/or code that would be bringing this class in-game. In brief, is it on "hold," or ar...

Re: Moradin Priests and Weapons
I'm with Belose on this one. Most deities have a "favored" weapon. A priest, while perhaps not receiving instant proficiency in that weapon, most likely should have the /choice/ of training that weapon skill. For example, I think Corellon's favored weapon is the longsword, Moradin's the ba...

Re: Lichdom and a very simple idea of how to code it.
Or, you could do away with any coding and just make lichdom an RP enhancer.

Re: Revised teaching system
Wow! This new system is, IMHO, going to be an extremely beneficial advance. I remember when we were yammering for a "student/teacher; master/apprentice" system many, many moons ago. Well, folks, here it is, and in force! Thank you!!

Re: Sewer baubles, low levels and similar things
If you would have asked me when I first started my new character, I would have been in utter and total agreement with the general wave of discontent concerning low-level grinding. However, a few levels later (20-something later >.<), I feel inclined to throw in my two coppers. It is a fact that leve...

Re: The FK Nooby Experience So Far
Well, there's a lot of talk! What's actually being /done/?? Anything new, exciting and/or promising happening to address the aforementioned issues? Granted, the system is frustrating, time-consuming, and totally unlike the days of yore...but one thing remains constant: It is STILL Forgotten Kingdoms...
