This might serve to disencourage taking shortcuts and not sticking to the road. (Which in my opinion is poor RP. You normally don't just stray from the road and go 30+ miles through fields and forests when you're out on a journey). This comment might not be entirely necessary, but I just wanted to ...

My immediate reaction to this is that it could have some potential as a means for getting into a fight with a mob without guards or soldiers coming for your neck. Just giving it some brief thought I could picture this getting out of hand if used improperly. It's a little outrageous to think of someo...

I apologize if I'm taking this thread off-topic and into a messy debate over rhetoric, but I just thought I'd add this. I wouldn't call someone who overpowers another person to pry something of value from their hands a thief. I would call them a mugger or a thug. I would picture that as something mo...

This comes from someone with no knowledge of Forgotten Realms outside of FK and who has never had any real interaction with any drow characters or the Underdark, so I don't have a whole lot to back up the opinion that I'm about to give. But I think that FK would be better served by not creating more...

I really like the idea of this feat and would definitely try to gain it if it were ever implemented, but I just had one question about it. As Kregor said, there are tons of times in forest RP where one character or another will smote climbing up into a tree for safety or to set up and ambush or for ...

I don't know if this is an aspect of Forgotten Realms or not, but would there be such a thing as a struggle for power within the realms of the dead? If so, it would be interesting if a struggle between good and evil could exist in the realms of the dead much in the same way as it does in the land of...

Your undertaking certainly sounds like an ambitious one, though I must speak up in regards to your penultimate sentence. You may want to take a look at the map of the game's wilderness that Janon made after the new eastern wilderness section was introduced to the game. Unless I am mistaken, creating...

Pass plant restrictions
I believe the ooc echo when you train pass plant is that you have to know the person you are passing to and you have to have been in the place where you will wind up. I suppose this means that before using it the person should tell you exactly where they are, or is that not entirely necessary?

First off, I have to give a sincere thank you to Tretch for his comments. Believe it or not, I was actually hoping that there would be more to read when I got to the end. Anyway, I do have a couple of comments about all this. First of all, I don't think there's necessarily anything wrong with judgin...

I remember something like that from the Lord of the Rings. When Sam is going up the stairs of the tower Cirith Ungol, he looks much more imposing to the orcs than he really is. In the movies they sort of show it as a quick little joke that his shadow on the wall looks much bigger than he is and it f...

Picture on website logo
I was just wondering about that picture on the home page of that fortress-like building on the hill with the tower sort of off in the distance. Is that supposed to be an actual location from Forgotten Realms, or is it just meant to be some generic fantasy locale?

I think I remember there being a string on one of the other boards, possibly the bug board, about that. If I remember correctly, there will be a time soon when the game is switched over to using the handle animal skill for ordering followers like that, but until then the skill isn't needed. This mig...
