Re: Most Common Character Letters

I'm being slow... whats a story character? Character created solely for an RP event/series of events. Members of the Story Council would usually came up with the character, the description, maybe even background. So it's a character I made, played by me, but specifically for an RP that was run with...

Re: Rogues' woes: we need help

Wet blanket time! Discussion should be more about why it's worth making new code or changing old code. What will it net FK? If bards get Bardic Music will there be more bards played regularly? The regular bards that played through the worst of the class and continue to play their bards will probably...

Re: Most Common Character Letters

Excluding the story character still sitting in my account I have with no deletions in my years playing;

A - 1
G - 1
I - 1
S - 2

Though I did name the story character, so I guess maybe?

V - 1

Re: Favourite character class and why

Elves. Wait... Dungeons & Dragons (1974–1976) The elf first appeared as a player character class in the original 1974 edition of Dungeons & Dragons.[2][3] The aquatic elf was introduced in the 1975 Blackmoor supplement.[4] I mean... You're not wrong. Even before '74, the precursor to D&...

Re: Rogues' woes: we need help

Won't comment on Bardic Music as it has been mentioned.

A Bardic Knowledge skill would also be another reason to seek bards to round out a party, but would also require builders to incorporate another type of knowledge/skill check into areas built for it to be worthwhile.

There really was a Gnorm years ago. For at least a few hours FK had the entire cast of Cheers as gnomes.

Not "away' necessarily, but work and my health are putting a damper on playtime. I won't be on as much, but I will be on when I can be.

Re: Player Pictures

Hello from the world of vacation and a shameless update! The last time I shared a picture of my progress was 25ish pounds ago. So here is last year's trip to Beantown vs this years trip to Beantown. I shrunk, he grew! Yay! https://scontent-lga1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xaf1/v/t1.0-9/s370x247/11828671...

Re: Waterdeep has a real market

Everything I'm suggesting is more for RP purposes than anything else. None of it should require more than people to use their imaginations and the smote command. - Climbing rope & gear. - Tuning forks. - Spare instrument wire or string. - Cloth patches and other sewing materials. - Waterproof oi...

Re: Waterdeep has a real market

Exploding faulty magical items are probably better suited to a random loot table than a market vendor. A city like Waterdeep would not let someone sell necklaces that would blow heads off for very long after heads did start exploding. Though we could incorporate a bloodsport system like the Running ...

Re: Greet and Names

I think Disguise hinders a person to recognize, so they wouldn't be able to recognize the person as their dub or greet. Maybe I just don't understand how disguise works then, haha which is very possible! :D Disguise lets you set adjectives, and every time someone enters, looks, etc it makes a disgu...

Re: Abolishing Teacher/Scholar

I like the idea of it being made a trade.. But the charisma requirement still turns me off to the whole thing. Back when I started training up Garumsh, I wanted him to be a teacher to the future Fighter orcs. I trained up almost all of his skills to GM (since that's what it used to require to teach...

Re: Abolishing Teacher/Scholar

I'd just like to clarify if it did not come across as such that to teach higher levels above apprentice you should have high charisma. Being a subject matter expert (INT, WIS, High Skill Level) would also be required to be able to have something higher level TO teach, but the ability to teach beyond...

Re: Abolishing Teacher/Scholar

Charisma should play a role. While the physical beauty aspect of the stat may not matter, the powerful persona that goes along with high charisma does. You can be the the smartest person in the world on a topic be it wisdom or intelligence related, but that does not mean you can teach with any degre...

Re: {Leveling/Training}

Hrosskell the Hoary's Northman School for Dragon Slaying? Also Briek, as I mentioned before there is at least one area in game that can be used, it just takes a bit of asking IC. I might be so bold as to say there are three areas like the above mentioned (sans dragons and kilts) that are more or les...
