Tel'Quessir Celebration - Everdusk Hall
Tel'Quessir Celebration - Everdusk Hall
Hear ye, Hear ye!
Come, all ye members of The People, to celebrate and revel in your heritage as members of Toril's most esteemed race. Join your kith and kin as we reminisce about times of yore. Tell what you were doing during the Time of Troubles. Share your superior talents in crafts, dancing, poetry, artistry and story telling. Learn of the Seldarine from the priests of Everdusk Hall, enjoy the serenity of the gardens and groves or merely partake of light laughter and sweet waters.
Let us celebrate together what it is to be The Father's children.
The event will take place at this time
Anyone wishing to offer oration on what it means to them to be Tel'Quessir may contact me via magical post, or amulet of communication. Please plan on keeping your speeches brief, as spaces and time for such will be limited (5 mins or less RL). Oratory slots will be filled on a first come, first served basis, as I am contacted, and a list will be kept in case of those unable to keep to their commitments due to unforeseeable circumstances.
If you wish to be able to perform blessings, arcane songs, or weaves within the City of Silverymoon, see yourself to the Royal Palace prior to the date to request a permit.
Refreshments of various sorts will be served. Half-humans dedicated to learning more of their finer pedigree are welcome, but will be expected to behave in a fashion keeping with the ways of The People. N'Tel'Quessir and Faayl'Tel'Quessir (pointy eared humans gifted with long lifespans) needn't attend.

Re: Tel'Quessir Celebration - Everdusk Hall
Can I suggest moving the date of this? Being as the Tempuran Tournement is scheduled to take place an hour after this is scheduled to end(and in my experience, events never end at the appointed hour) it could cause conflicts between the two.

I agree with Alitar on this one, but it is, after all, your event. We already have events super sporadically, I see no reason to piggyback events like this, forcing players like myself to choose one over the other in lieu of spending 12+ hours on FK per day (even though most of us do log ridiculous hours) I don't want others to miss out on fun RP events like this because they have to choose which one they can handle making.
Again, after all, it is your event and these times are tentative as is, but I suggest splitting days with other events so that in the end everyone gets to attend as many events as they are physically able to - it helps the MUD as a whole.
Good luck with this event.

I am greatly looking forward to this

Ug, okay, sorry, I didn't realize I'd scheduled it same day. Checked the Calendar listing and nothing else was shown (I know the tourney was recently announced, probably hadn't been posted up). I don't have any characters going to the tourney, so it didn't dawn on me that they might overlap.
I will, tentatively, move it to Saturday the 1st, same bat time, same bat station.

Saturday the 1st actually works even better for me. Looking forward to the event!

Wanted to bump this, and ask if it's been added to calendar yet? If not, how would I go about doing/requesting that? <.<

Just putting a posting up in 'Events' is enough to get added to the calendar. In this case if you take a peek at the calendar you'll see that your event is already listed and clicking on the listing will display your descriptive blurb along with the specific time of day, the location, and a link to this thread.

Due to an invitation to friends' birthday celebrations away from town, Sir Neidre will sadly not be able to attend this. So, I'll be looking forward to the next one.

It is possible that I have missed something. Did this event get canceled or postponed?

Crap, this is my fault. I forgot about the event, and have been on a break from the game.
If people are willing to give it another shot, I will aim for 9/8/12, but otherwise the same time.
Again, apologies to anyone who showed up for this. I needed to take a few days off to decide where I stood on playing the game, and find that I miss the people. I will make every attempt to make this up, if people show interest in this.

This is actually a better day for me, I'll try to be there if possible.

Unfortunately I do not think that I will be able to make it on September 8th.

Re: Tel'Quessir Celebration - Everdusk Hall
Set as tentatively rescheduled on the calendar...if anyone wants to help maintain / have edit power on the calendar, let me know! I'd love to hand this off to someone else. I sometimes don't get a chance to post events until after they occur, and it'll only be worse now that the school year is starting.
Re: Tel'Quessir Celebration - Everdusk Hall
Hopefully I can make it that time!

Re: Tel'Quessir Celebration - Everdusk Hall
Doubtful I'd be there, husbands birthday followed by our wedding anniv the next day. :) Have fun!
Beshaba potatoes.
Re: Tel'Quessir Celebration - Everdusk Hall
If anyone wants to take this over (hint hint V ) please let me know so I can adjust accordingly on the calendar. Temporarily changed to postponed in the meantime. Thank you.

Re: Tel'Quessir Celebration - Everdusk Hall
Just leave it on the calendar and let it roll as a meeting - it doesn't need a head to run it. :)

Re: Tel'Quessir Celebration - Everdusk Hall
As I learned we received an invitation to a house-warming (darn! they must earn a ton of money, or why aren't we able to find a payable flat in this town....!) and Sir Aramil will not be able to attend
