Helpfile Changes!
Re: Helpfile Changes!
Hey, my pleasure Roana! And thanks for taking care of the Bash/Brawling suggestions as well!
Pending approval, there are now help files for all of the Wizard Spell Spheres, set up similar to domain spells. Now you can see, at a glance, what spells a specialist wizard can get. The help files also make mention of and offer links to the opposed schools, so you can see what you might be missing out on! Hopefully, this will help players decide on specialist schools, if they're so inclined, and also to find useful information about spells of a given school in general!
Check out <Spell sphere> spells
IE Abjuration Spells, Conjuration Spells, etc

Re: Helpfile Changes!
Helpfile for Knowledge Domain changed to reflect the correct level two spell. It was showing Invis and it should have been Detect Invis. Change has been made.

Re: Helpfile Changes!
Added a helpfile for the new Filth Fever disease, based on what I could figure out about it on the testport. If anyone knows more about it than I put in the helpfile, please offer me additions and amendments via PM! Added clarification about disease to the HEALING helpfile, while I was at it.
Does anyone know if diseases are indeed contagious?

Re: Helpfile Changes!
Added a note to help stone walk that explains the spell's use some.
"A man may die yet still endure if his work enters the greater work, for time is carried upon a current of forgotten deeds, and events of great moment are but the culmination of a single carefully placed thought." - Chime of Eons
Re: Helpfile Changes!
I don't believe any average players can answer this as the disease spell still isn't in-game.Raona wrote:Does anyone know if disease are indeed contagious?

Re: Helpfile Changes!
Yes, but diseases such as Mummy Rot, Ghoul Fever, and now the new one, makes it applicable, Selveem. I have not experienced these diseases being communicable, personally, though I have not been infected with them for a terribly long period of time.
"He served, but found no pride in service. He fought, but took no joy in victory. He drank, to drown his pain in a sea of wine... ...It was hate that drove him. Though he committed many sins, he never sought forgiveness."
Re: Helpfile Changes!
I believe the question was about the filth fever disease, which -is- in the game. I've heard people talk about it being communicable, but I haven't seen it first hand, myself.
Re: Helpfile Changes!
Ah, my apologies. I misunderstood the question.

Re: Helpfile Changes!
Gave the ability-boosting spell helpfiles a buffing, clarifying that the effects don't stack with other enhancement bonuses to the same stat, and cleaning up some grammar issues.
Re: Helpfile Changes!
Couple questions: Is fury in the game? If so, since it's a morale bonus, and not an enhancement bonus, does it stack? If not, would you like me to fix up the help file?Raona wrote:Gave the ability-boosting spell helpfiles a buffing, clarifying that the effects don't stack with other enhancement bonuses to the same stat, and cleaning up some grammar issues.
Re: Helpfile Changes!
Fury is in game, but at least in my experience, it doesn't stack.

Re: Helpfile Changes!
I believe you are correct that per SRD it should stack, but it also looks like our ability stat code doesn't account for different types of bonus and only grabs the largest one (AC bonus types are coded, but not these, as far as I can tell)...so in FK the stat bonuses do not stack.Tarven wrote:since it's a morale bonus, and not an enhancement bonus, does it stack? If you could add the relevant stuff to the helpfile, that would be appreciated.

Re: Helpfile Changes!
Stone Body is another example of a spell that has stat changes, but doesn't currently show what they are. I'd change it, but I don't have the spell, so couldn't say.
Re: Helpfile Changes!
Pending Code Council completion, removed the link between 4th level bard spells, and dominate monster, replaced with dominate person (which is on the spell list, for 4th level, and makes a lot more sense, as dominate monster is a 9th level wizard spell).

Two-weapon Defence Feat
=======================
Syntax: Automatic
Prerequisites: Two-Weapon Fighting feat and 15 Dexterity
You've developed an effective defensive style while wielding two weapons, an
impressive feat. After taking this feat you will receive a bonus to your
armour class shield bonus, as if you were using a light shield or buckler.
* AC bonus type increases are not cumulative (they do not "stack,"), so
this feat will not increase your shield bonus to armour class if anything else
is already raising it.
(A) Two-weapon Fighting Feat
I just got this message when trying to train it: You must be at least an adept in 'dual wield' before you can learn 'two-weapon defence' for 'dual wield' from Daglas.
It doesn't say in the helpfile what level you need to be, just that you need the other first, and that is trainable at JM. Perhaps this could be updated?

Help Flare was not properly justified. Is now modified for 80 characters per line.
Re: Helpfile Changes!
Not that age seems to apply here, but, on help age it used to say
7> with someone playing an age older than their score. We do however do not

Re: Helpfile Changes!
The new sentence is correct.
I am here with a nitpick: neither 'help equipment' nor 'help repair' give the sequence of states the item might be in, and I can't figure out if 'perfect' is better than 'superb' or is it the other way round.
