Mobs rearming while stunned

Post by Atheliyan » Sat Aug 25, 2012 9:59 pm

I wasn't sure if this was technically considered a bug or just a suggestion, so I decided to err on the side of caution and just post as a suggestion. I have noticed, with having the disarm feat, that when you disarm an enemy, sometimes they rearm themselves while stunned, or incapacitated. Having experienced being stunned many many times, a pc is incapable of doing, well, anything, while stunned, but yet the mobs are capable of picking up their weapons and rewielding them. Maybe it seems petty, because unless you are disarming then stunning, usually they are about dead when they are stunned anyway, but still, it just seemed rather odd and quite impossible a feat to be accomplished logically.

When a mobile is disarmed, it moves the weapon to inventory rather than to the ground of the room. I recall having been bashed by mobiles that I've gotten to stunned in the past and in -my thoughts-, this could either be that not all actions are restricted from mobiles while they're stunned, or perhaps it is just that things don't always echo in the correct order that they happen.

Not in my experience.

This does seem to be more likely the case. I've been bashed by an enemy after the moment it died, and it said 'someone fails to hurt you with their bash' or something like that. So, clearly, there's a bit of 'offness' in the turn action sequence.

Alitar is correct, disarming a MOB results in the MOB's weapon being placed in his/her inventory, unlike MOBs or PCs disarming -PCs-, which results in the victim's weapon being placed on the ground.

Maybe it's only when they attempt to disarm me, and I disarm them, then, but I've seen mobs pick up weapons off the ground. Next time it happens, I'll post a log.

I've only seen their weapons hit the ground from limbs being removed, I'd be interested to see the log for the next time you see it from disarming. Moreso, them picking it up and re-arming themselves.
