TRAINERS - MISSING LEVEL 8 SPELLS

Post by Selveem » Thu May 12, 2011 1:56 am

Calling upon all players to check what LEVEL 8 SPELLS have no trainers.

Feel free to post below to indicate the following information:
- class/race/alignment
- spells for which you did not find teachers

Notes:
  • This is only about LEVEL 8 SPELLS, not about spells of other levels, or skills, or feats, or whatever. There will be other thread for other categories of "things you can learn".
  • The class/race/alignment information is interesting because a spell might have a trainer that drow can reach but no trainer for surface dweller (or vice versa, most likely).

Seek ye defeat? Ye shall most certainly find it.
Seek ye nothing? Then all ye can find is victory.

Stone body is not actually a missing level 8 spell, but it is unaccessible to clerics unless they have a wizard walk them in, because its in a room that only wizards can go into. Considering this is the only stone spell accessible to clerics, it should be located somewhere where more people can get to. Perhaps placing it in an evil accessible village/city would make it more fair to those who cannot exactly just stroll around Waterdeep without upsetting people. Granted I know tieflings are "allowed" in Waterdeep, to an extent, they still aren't welcome, and it would be near impossible for a tiefling to be able to find a wizard to walk them into the HoW. Its just not fair to those who choose to play the more complicated characters.

As Mele said, it is accessible, and you can obtain it without a wizard. You just have to look!

Is there any way someone can atleast give me a hint. I feel like I have literally searched *everywhere*. There isn't a village/city left on the surface I haven't looked everywhere in.

Sorry but there is. It's on the surface but you really need to ask this IC.

There are also a lot of spells and skills in temples, and not all temples are in towns/villages. Just sayin.

Are you sure this spell is not in an area tieflings/evils cannot enter.

Yes. If a handful of players say so, it's a very good time to believe it.
