Afternoon
I have started 2 quests in Battle Gate castle.
I left for a while and then returned to the town below. It was Dark and I was flying, when i passed a Purple knight he attacked me. I did not attack him. My alignment is Lawful Neutral and I am a gnome.
I flew striaght pass him however and didnt think nothing of it. I continue up to the castle and rescued the bard. Since returning to the Stockade they will not let me enter, presumably because I am now considered hostile. I am not sure why they turned hostile, is it because it was dark and I was flying?
Either way i am unable to continue/finnish the Cryth Quest
Cheers

Re: Battle Gate Castle
The PC is a deep gnome, correct?

Re: Battle Gate Castle
Most surface races believe that Deep Gnomes are like Drow and Duergar, evil versions of their surface counterparts, so if deep gnomes are subject to the same attacks that drow or duergar would be I think that's fairly appropriate.
Re: Battle Gate Castle
Yes. I went through the day prior to this bug report and adjusted all of the Cormyrean guards to respond to race instead of alignment (as only some did). Deep gnome is on the list of races that would concern the relatively xenophobic people of Cormyr (or the Dales probably).

Re: Battle Gate Castle
That's pretty awesome. I'd love to see more mobiles follow along with reacting to race rather than reacting to alignment. Most mobiles can't see alignment after all and race-(ism) is a very real thing in our setting.

Re: Battle Gate Castle
Semi-related, but just out of curiosity since the quest seemingly can't be completed, does it get retired into the failed list or does it remain in the incomplete list? Just asking as someone who is (admittedly) obnoxiously anal about qlog spam.

Selveem: That's something that could be handled via Applications on a case by case basis.
