Summon monster - Not returning to home plane

Sometimes when using 'Summon monster', the summoned creature does not return to it's home plane. For example, I summoned a monster on Daleron while in the Underdark and it is still active and grouped with Daleron. This happens every so often, and I've resorted to killing the summoned monster myself to make sure that it
doesn't hurt other players that happen upon it.

If this happens again to someone, please don't kill the beasty, but let me know about it or post here, with the PC name and the short description ("name") of said beasty. I'd like to get an MSTAT on it and see if the counters aren't changing, or if they are negative. Thanks.

Ive had a wyvern for over 2 years now..

It will attack me if I enter the room so I just left it alone.

Well, sure enough. It has no unsummon timer, so it must have clocked out and not been eaten up. It'll be tricky to track down how and why this happens!

Ok, I think we have this one patched up. Summon with care all the same, remember, they won't like you just because you summoned them!
