The New Menzoberranzan!

I did a serious retooling of Menzoberranzan. Feel free to look around, if you had a Drow but haven't been on in a long time, the Underdark is way more exciting now, think about taking a stroll and looking around! Outside the city and inside, the neighborhood is packed with stuff to do.

Super confusing with diagonals and such, but I'm loving it so far. Will take a huge look around as time permits. Well done again.

Well it's not two rectangles like the old Menzo was, but if you want to map the new Menzo out, do it like this. I do it on graph paper, each street is two spaces, each shop takes up only one. So for example...

If you do it like this, the whole city will map out perfectly.

Hi

I have had a qbit appear withour prompt.
I have discussed with Sollaghar who has stated it is ok to reset.
The qbit states You found the weaponmaster in House Duskryn

Solaghar stated it need resetting to 3100 15 1 0

Hey great personalities in charge! Solaghar said it's alright to reset qbit 3100 16 1 0 for character Izzmyr. Apparently there was some bug and it got set prematurely. Thank you!

Also for character Xundorl it's OK to reset that same qbit.

I've looked through and through the area files even peripherally related to Menzo and can't see any reason why these qbits would have been set, there were no quests in the area coming even close to those qbits, actually only a single quest at all. So if you're a Drow and you want to do the House Duskryn quest, do a qlog local and make sure you don't have any qbits set about finding nobles first, if you do the quest won't work.

Could it be to do with the fact we logged on the previous day to the actual full release of the new menzo area?

This exactly what was needed, the angular streets emphasized the underdark and drow as 'alien' compared to the surface world, its disillusioning sense of comfort makes this Menzoberranzan a lot more alive, plus a few details that give me a 'Hey I know that from the books,' moment, such as certain Houses and more. It's not as chaotic and twisted as I imagine the true city, but it is certainly a strong step forward. This new area formatting would also be amazing if applied to the 'webbed city' structure of Ched Nasad, it's too.. geometric now, in light of this new approach. But excellent job all around.

Hey folks

I seem to still have an issue with this Quest:-

Wont go into to much detail as dont want to give anything away. I will send a PM to Solaghar with full details.
In a nutshell it appears to have given me a qbit of weapons master for killing 3rd boy, but not actually giving me a weapons master nor did i get a qbit for the 3rd boy.

Just so no one is confused there is no qbit for the third boy so don't freak out if you don't have one when/if you do the quest.

The new Dark Dominion is in! New and updated, the Dark Dominion outside Menzo now has two new all-new quests and is built for Drow and Svirfneblin both. There's lots of stuff to see here now, combat should be more fun, the area should look prettier, and there's way more than meets the eye around now. I encourage both Drow and Deep Gnomes to go and have a look! Thanks for getting it out there, Harroghty!

A nitpick: there should be kobold mobs in the Clawrift.

In my opinion, Menzo needs two things:

1) a decent food seller
2) a trainer who would train create food

The main problem is that almost all the spell components and other small general items are all 'out of stock.' Including the entire temple for the most part.
