Trillarel, this list is for missing feats. Skills should be a completely separate post. If you mean a feat that is missing, please list the feat you believe is not available.
First off, I believe Mele moved his post here.
Second, weapon proficiency is a feat, and crossbow would be the specific feat. Typically, trainers that teach a skill, also teach the proficiency, and usually the focus.

I did not move the post, nor was I (or any other staff, I imagine) overly worried over the mistaken placement as there is no active 'missing skill' thread.
It's the same process to verify be it a skill or feat or spell, as it were. No time was wasted, no harm was done.
Beshaba potatoes.

Ah, apologies then Mele. I seemed to remember something like this in bugs, and thought there was a comment that it would be better placed in suggestions or this thread, or something, and thought it was moved.
Regardless, I maintain that weapon skills/feats are closely enough related that this would be tied together. In fact, other than skills that aren't in the game at all, I don't think I can think of any skills that don't have trainers. Difficult to find for some, but in the game. Though there are still a couple classes I haven't tried yet. =P

This suggestion is a fairly simple one: Make metamagic feats more widely taught. I'm not certain, but out of the NPC teachers I've found it seems some of them may not have teachers in-game.
Ever since the revamp of metamagic feats a while back, I've been planning a wizard that would actually use points on them and now that he's in and ready to go... he just needs teachers.

Can you be more specific on which feats you think are missing? Or are you just saying they're not very accessible? I think I've found most, if not all, of them.

There are seventeen metamagic feats.
Combat casting - 14 trainers
Empower spell - 10 trainers
Enlarge spell - 5 trainers
Extend spell - 10 trainers
Heighten spell - 3 trainers
Maximize spell - 5 trainers
Mind over body - 4 trainers
Persistent spell - 7 trainers
Quicken spell - 15 trainers
Spellcasting prodigy - 5 trainers
Silent spell - 9 trainers
Still spell - 9 trainers
Twin spell - 9 trainers
Spell focus - 11 trainers
Spell penetration - 7 trainers
Extra turning - 1 trainer
Greater spell focus - 0 trainers
The last two, and maybe heighten seem to be the only ones lacking. :)
*Please note; I would mention if something was lacking for a certain 'type' of character, good, evil, underdark.

Persistent is actually really easy to find. I've found at least 3, myself.
