LE Sun Elf starts in Silverymoon

Post by Anvilin » Sun Nov 25, 2012 9:14 pm

I just made a LE Sunelf and when it came time to pick a home town the only option was Silverymoon. I'm not sure if this was intentional but I figured I would point it out. Also moon elves have no evil alignment options. I thought this weird.

Thanks for pointing this out. I fixed this so that sun elf PCs may now choose Waterdeep also as a starting city (and those with an evil alignment cannot choose Silverymoon). This will be updated soon on the game port.

We removed the option of making an evil moon elf PC because they are described as being inherently good creatures.

I was waiting for the exceptions to start flying. We made a decision that we would restrict moon elves from evil alignments based upon information from Races of Faerun. Maybe predominately good is better than inherently, but in either case we made an arbitrary decision based upon source materials.

We are not allowing evil-aligned moon elves despite Elaith in the same way that we do not allow good-aligned drow in spite of Drizzt.
