Crippling Strike

HELP CRIPPLING STRIKE
Crippling Strike Feat
=====================
A thief with this ability can sneak attack opponents with such precision that
their blows weaken and hamper them. An opponent damaged by such a sneak
attack also temporarily loses some of their strength.

* Ability points lost to crippling strikes return slowly on their own at over
the course of a couple of days.

* This feat is only available to members of the thieves' guild.

It also needs a bonus feat to use and cannot be "bought" on a normal feat point.

Can someone also give me a rough idea how the bonus feat things works? Is it random? I am not sure I have had any yet. Also is the bonus feat thing not adding more restrictions? Surely a feat is a feat?

The problem is how they are worded. They aren't actually bonus feats, they are special abilities. A rogue can only select special abilities later on in her career (mid-way to be precise; in D&D it's level 10 - translated to FK that would be level 25, but I don't know how it's coded).

I would strongly advise against being able to use regular feats to obtain these skills as they're all pretty powerful in their own right. For more reading (might need to scroll up slightly):

If it is an ability why is it listed against a trainer etc? How do I learn it?

In FK it's listed as a bonus feat due to ease of incorporation most likely. The difference is you can only train it with bonus feats.

If you have a bonus feat available just "Train 'crippling strike' but it has to be a bonus feat and not a regular one.

Hm, I'm not sure how it's set up on FK and there is no indication in the Help Files. Is there anyone that can tell us at what levels Thieves receive their "bonus feats?" I will update the help file afterwards (or, actually, create a helpfile for Thieves Bonus Feats).
