It's showing on a chart I read that heavy should be 1d10 at medium and 1d8 small and light is 1d8 and 1d6 for medium and small size respectively. I was wondering if it's just a bug on the part of the newbie crossbow or is it all crossbows?| AB: 1st: +2

It is a light crossbow in the clubs category of weapons.
It can be picked up, held, held in both hands.
It cannot be worn with any other armour.
It is medium in size and would fit any body type.
This crossbow has a light wooden tiller with a pliable stave
stretched by a string of twine. The nut, a small metal bolt
ready to catch the string and cock the weapon, is about half
way down the weapon and connected to a light metal trigger.

Re: crossbows and damage
If you change to COMBATMODE -RANGED, you should see the right value in SCORE. The damage actually done is always correct, but it is only 1d2 when you use the crossbow as a club, and that's what SCORE reflects when you have COMBATMODE +RANGED set. (This will be the damage inflicted if you are in melee and out of ammo, or in melee and set to COMBATMODE +RANGED even if you do have ammo.)
