Volo does not give Information

Post by Anguin » Mon Apr 01, 2013 1:45 pm

Volo offers to provide information for one copper, but says nothing when paid.

Code: Select all

<100%hp 0m 25%mv> Travellers Emporium
 S-Selduth Street
Here you can buy anything a traveller would need. You can smell the musty
smell of rations. Water skins hang from hooks on the ceiling. Bedrolls are
stacked on shelves.
Volo the famous traveller of the Realms is here.
Volo says 'For a small fee I can tell you about much of the Kingdoms.'
Volo says 'I have travelled far and wide and I AM the most renowned'
Volo says 'traveller the kingdoms have ever seen.'
Volo says 'One copper coin is all I ask for simple information.'

<100%hp 0m 33%mv> You get 86 copper coins from a leather pack.

<100%hp 0m 33%mv> You give Volo some money.
OK.

I have fixed Volo so that he will now take your one copper and, in return, talk to you about some locations. His scope of comment is pretty narrow, however, and I will therefore take submissions via private message from players who have a location they believe that he should describe. Your submissions should look like this:
sayto $n Oh! The island of candy!
pause 1
sayto $n I can tell you all about that island.
smote smiles and nods.
pause 1
sayto $n The island of candy is located just beyond Waterdeep, a little ways into the Sea of Swords.
sayto $n It is full of ...get ready... candy. It's pretty tasty, but you should be careful that you do not
sayto $n fall victim to tooth decay!
mpmset $n questr 8000 14 1 0
The key commands to use are:
sayto $n - this means that Volo will talk directly to the one who paid
pause # - this command will make the program pause for the relevant number of seconds. e.g. pause 1 pauses for 1 second
smote - this works just like it does with your PC, but the target should be @$N instead of $whateverPCname
mpmset $n questr 8000 14 1 0 - this just goes at the end to show that the PC asked his or her question
