Funny Old D&D Ads
Hopefully you get a more heartening laughter from anyone nearby who sees this. My wife looked at the first one, laughed, patted me on the shoulder, and left the room.

I wonder exactly who they thought this of:
"Hmmm...they're rabid gamers, and they'll want this 'Monster Manual'...BUT...only if we have a model holding it seductively."

Another site with amusing critiques on older DND and other RP products. Be forewarned some of the articles can get NSFW.

How did I miss these the first time around?!? This was my era! It makes me wonder that D&D ever took off. Clearly the product made up for what was lacking in the advertising.Harroghty wrote:Hopefully you get a more heartening laughter from anyone nearby who sees this. That's nothing, I remember playing "Ali Baba & The 40 Thieves" on an Atari 800
Ummm...and Zork, of course. And who could forget...that game where you wander around and fight letters? Some big, some small!

We had a 2600 and it was a beautiful beautiful thing.
I still blame my dad to this day for bringing that home and addicting me to video games for life.
