The training area is a large structure of underground galleries and caves,
under the Misty Forest. The rounded caves themselve are about four or four and
a half feet tall and about five feet wide. There is nothing much around but
some pieces of broken weapons or armours, left on the ground by the students.
Here and there, a few weapons racks have been put along the walls, most are
nearly empty. Several torches hang on the wall, to spread in the area the
needed light. You can hear the resonating metallic noise of the students
training in the different caves.

Those mobiles (10484) are flagged SENTINEL. This sounds like a hard code issue. Would a Code Council member please take a look at this?

Sure enough, these mobiles will move into a safe room in pursuit, if you attack them with a ranged weapon. Doing so sets them to hunting you; hating you won't do it (which is all that gets set if you attack them and then flee). They can not attack in the safe room, but will continue to follow you and pounce on you when you leave the safe room.
I don't know that this is broken - it is really what I would expect, even for something flagged sentinel. I believe it was an intentional change after some miscreants were abusing the sentinel flag by using ranged weapons and spells to plink targets that would otherwise wipe the walls with them.
