has anyone experience the new MMO that started open beta?

If so, what are your thoughts on it?

Love it! I have been playing it since it was released, and absolutely having a blast. The lay out is nice. They need to figure out the server crashing part though. All in time I guess!

I haven't played it myself, but a friend has.
I asked the exact same question as Orplar did here so I'll simply share my friend's answer.
He said it feels very D&D and he likes it a lot. And the D&D thing is of course something positive^^

We hit it up at open here. I like it thus far, but not with specific love/reason.

Have been playing it a lot lately - Really really impressed with what they did, especially with what a disappointment DDO was last time around.

Oplar, and Siria - I suggest just giving it a try. It's been a good time so far, and does feel very D&D like. The only thing I don't like about it are the 50 different currency(not really 50, but a ton of them. Various coins, diamonds, zen, bars, etc.)

I've only got a wizard so far - which is funny since on FK I can't handle wizards - but I like it here. (Actually in most MMO's I play I don't wizard.)

Tricksterrogues for the win! ;) I like how detailed the charactergeneration is.

Giving it a shot, playing a Wizard, loving it so far. Something about creating, what I call a 'black hole' in the center of a group of enemies and sucking them up is amusing.

Also falling in love with the player created quests/dungeons. Perhaps one of the best features to hit an MMO.

So, I'm on the level 60 letdown. Me and another player just maxed out levels, and basically it's a wait to see what comes thing now, and make other characters/collect items/queue for dungeons, etc.

What things do you hope to see come in later? I'm a bit disappointed with the weak to strong mobs basically being the same thing over, and over, progressing through the maps, and would like to see some change up even though it isn't likely.

I do like the character layouts, and getting to select your powers/feats/abilities as you go, and the mass of items you can find.

How is everyone enjoying it so far?

It's just kind of a side game for me - FFXI has me busy and Neverwinter is kind of 'small' in terms of MMO to me because I've been geeking out "hardcore" MMO for over 10 years. I'm barely level 10. XD

I read about the cash shop, kind of worries me for the game overall.

The cash shop is nuts, and prices are steep. Honestly, the overall feel of the game is just a money grab in general. It seems to be sucking those that have it(maybe don't have it) in though, and giving win items away to those who can afford it. I.E. I'm using meager everything compared to what could be gotten for x amount of dollars. It's pretty ridic.

Well, based on my exp with the game. You're not missing out on anything...

If I ever get in to play, that might change.
