Neverwinter
Re: Neverwinter
Besk, are you trying to log in during downtime when they are patching, and fixing bugs? They tend to do it during early morning.
It's really a fun game. I just tried out the PvP aspect of it, and it was a blast.

Re: Neverwinter
Nope, I make sure to check.
Just anytime I try to log in, it runs the normal path check. Click Play and it loads up, almost without fail I get a "Disconnected from server" message. I re-enter my log in and it goes to retrieving character list...then times out. Then for the next twelve times I try it just gives that disconnected message.
Followed all their troubleshooting, did all my own as that is what I used to do as a job, and I've even done a few things most people don't know to try.
Nothing has worked, so I'm at the point of just giving up and assuming the game just isn't for me.

I'm a raptor, doin' what I can, gonna eat everything till he appearance of man. Yo yo see me, I'm living below the soil. I'll be back, but I'm comin' as oil.
Re: Neverwinter
Okay, you guys (and the friend I mentioned earlier) made me do it.. I started to play...
I'm playing a wizard (surprise.. I rarely play anything without some form of magic). I love the teleport thing. Maybe because it reminds me of my swordmage in my D&D group. So far I've not grouped with other players, so I'm waiting to see how that will go.

Re: Neverwinter
Wish my laptop was faster so I could play it. Looks pretty awesome from what I've seen!
Re: Neverwinter
UPDATE!
As of about 1 hour ago from this time this post was posted, I have officially recreated Besky in Neverwinter on the Dragon shard.
Had to run off just after a couple of the lowbie quests, but tonight I'm rocking Neverwinter hard core!!!
Turns out it was a tiny, hidden in a pile of others, security protocol that was keeping the server from making inbound connections to my laptop. I fixed it, and now I'm going to enjoy.
Not to worry to any who like to talk to my characters, they'll be around. Mostly my Ranger, as I'm really enjoying leveling him.

Re: Neverwinter
You are on Dragon? Me too!
Re: Neverwinter
I'm definitely going to try this out once my new computer gets here. I've only put it off by telling myself I don't want to download it twice. e_e;
Jamais arriere.
Re: Neverwinter
Come on, Homer <.< You know you want to download it now!! *peer pressure*
I think all the FK people are on Dragon

Re: Neverwinter
I personally quite like the Foundryquests. Aside from many quests that basically are "Die as fast as you can", "One bazillion hostile mobs nearby" or "Look at my pretty questgivers" there are many well thought of storyquest made up by players with series of quests following a storyline.

da flüstern die Gräser und wiegen sich leicht
im Wind, der sanft über das Gräberfeld streicht.

C'mon folks, Dragon? Come to Beholder, we have cookies...

Ha ha die as fast you can is my specialty. Usually due to the one bazillion hostile mobs aroundLarethiel wrote:I personally quite like the Foundryquests. Well, if you see my name running around...or standing like a statue in mid run (LAG YOU MURDEROUS BEAST!) smote poke me in the ribs, or however they do it in NW.Siria wrote:You are on Dragon? Me too!
Aside from that, I do like the game...it isn't all about the grinding. The quests are cool, and the combat is interesting. Haven't gotten far, mostly due to lag issues, but I keep trying. (Once had server lag of just over a min before it kicked me off)

Re: Neverwinter
I haven't gotten far either. Look for a female Tiefling named.. uhm Lacera Darkblood or something like that
Re: Neverwinter
So far the only reason I haven't played it is that often free to play games have a huge gap between those who pay with real currency for items and those who don't.
Is it very noticeable the difference between free players and "premium" players?

Re: Neverwinter
It's kind of a mix. You can tell the "Founder" players usually due to title, and mount, but you see a lot of people who have been playing the auction blocks, and those who are just collecting quest rewards.
Re: Neverwinter
Sounds like pay2win. No thanks...

Re: Neverwinter
Wish I wasn't lagging out soo much or I'd be on NW a little more often.
FK still wins though.

Re: Neverwinter
Maybe we should adopt this model for FK. Additional spell slots $5/month, extra feat or stat points for a $20 one-off payment?Alitar wrote:Sounds like pay2win. No thanks...
Re: Neverwinter
Part of us using the FR world in D&D's campaign is that we're not supposed to use their copywritten information to make money. I don't think we should start charging - we're going to get our arses sued real fast if we adopt this kind of model.
"He served, but found no pride in service. He fought, but took no joy in victory. He drank, to drown his pain in a sea of wine... ...It was hate that drove him. Though he committed many sins, he never sought forgiveness."
