Duke of Alaron, Watchspiders as Citizens and Crimes
Duke of Alaron, Watchspiders as Citizens and Crimes
The Duke of Alaron assisted a watchspider against my LG Dwarf of Moradin and then I was given a crime for his attacking me. He is probably assisting due to basic code and I'm not sure of the alignments involved but maybe a change of either the watchspider or the Dukes is needed to reduce this occurence. Given the lore and storyline for the area the Duke or any of the Holyhead soldiers assisting the drow or watchspiders against any of the base character races is a little off.
Edit to show the crimes shown, given for the watchspider I killed in front of the Duke of Alaron and then an attack of a different watchspider in front of a Soldier. There was also a crime for assault on the Duke that I had served. The second watchspider appears to have gone and reported the crime as well as the Holyhead soldier.
A husky gray bearded male dwarf is wanted for the following crimes:
At 5 o'clock pm, Thirday, 2nd day in the Month of Leafall,
A husky gray bearded male dwarf was witnessed commiting the crime of assault on a heavy watchspider.
At 4 o'clock pm, Thirday, 2nd day in the Month of Leafall,

I had this happen to me too, and posted about it here: viewtopic.php?f=148&t=16865
I thought it might have been fixed, but they still seem to be acting up!

The spiders are not flagged ACT_CITIZEN and I don't see any crimes listed in Alaron's courthouse for their assault. Was this recent?

Where did it happen? Did the spider follow you into town?

Re: Duke of Alaron, Watchspiders as Citizens and Crimes
It happened on the far side where the Duke is. Not sure on the spider following because I was whisked off to the dungeon during the fight but was then reported for 2 assaults on that spider, assuming one was the soldier in the room and the other the spider.
I'll check later and see what align the drow lizards are they dont seem to be reported where the neutal align watch spiders are. As far as I can tell its only the Watch spiders.

Just observed this. A soldier witnessed the fight with the watchspider but wouldn't have made it to the crime post to report it in the amount of time it took for another soldier to arrest him. East side of the mountain.A soldier says to Mirerazai 'Your crime of assault on a heavy watchspider'

Sorry for reposting. Made it back to the crime list and
I think the Watchspider is the one who reported it.The Prince of Alaron is here.
A heavy watchspider crawls here.

This happened to me right now. I have no clue who reported it though...The log is of Victor as I refreshed.
Aramil is standing here.
The Duke of Holyhead says to Aramil 'I will now carry out your sentence for'
The Duke of Holyhead says to Aramil 'Your crime of assault on a heavy watchspider'
The Duke of Holyhead drags Aramil off to the dungeon!

Re: Duke of Alaron, Watchspiders as Citizens and Crimes
I think these are the trouble:
[ 3275] a heavy watchspider [ 1783] Central woodlands
[ 3275] a heavy watchspider [ 1737] Central woodlands
The m3275 variant is actually meant for another area, I think. I'm guessing Holyhead should have only m1724?

A soldier says to you 'I will now carry out your sentence for'
A soldier says to you 'Your crime of assault on a heavy watchspider'
A soldier drags you off to the dungeon!
You are correct! That mob is part of the justice system in another city. Seems like, since its been loaded here, its ticked into Alaron's JS as well. If they soldiers see it, they report it as well. spider = soldier on arachnoids.

I took away the heavy watch spider's citizenship.
Thanks for digging into this, Raona.
