Acid Aerie - Body in the acid not giving a sword (quest)

I am doing this quest on one of my characters and when you approach the corpse floating in acid, it does this:

The corpse shifts the acid sharply and a few bubbles splatter out at you. You'll have to try again.

.As you pull on the corpse, a sword dislodges from a pitted scabbard. The corpse then
.settles down into the acid completely, you're unable to retrieve anything more.

So I checked my inv, and it didn't put the sword there, or on the ground, and seems to have bugged on me.

She was attacked by the quest mob when she picked up the thing, this area is seriously haunted. Somehow it may have prevented the body drop by the mob. I fixed her up.
