Skillup message lists wrong skill level

My thief was an expert at hide.

While hiding recently, I got a skillup message: "You learn from your success and are now an expert at hide!"

Huh? I double-checked, and sure enough, the skill level was now master (not expert).

The echo gave the wrong skill level.

Do you have boots that increase your hide skill? That would be my first guess, because if you're adept and have +3 to hide, that shows at your effective level, expert.

Apparently that's what it was. I didn't realize magical affects showed up in the skills list. Thanks!
