I was in a bandit location, and i entered the room, searched the chest for traps, disarmed the trap, picked the chest and then the trap went off. Not sure if its just bad luck that the zone repoped as i was picking the chest or what...
Seeing as how mobs dont respawn in a room if you are there already i would assume traps shouldnt either.
