Big City High RP Areas

Back in the day the biggest spot for RP was the Waterdeep Market Square. Now the player base is a bit smaller than then it appears, but am I right in assuming that this is somewhat still true? At least for the good/neutral/occassional evil alignment?

Obviously I've been playing a Drow, is there one in Menzo I'm unaware of when I'm seeking RP? If not could I suggest the Message Pillar in the Bazaar? I see some Drow get on but I've only met one thus far and I think it's cause we're running around looking to bump into each other, lol.

Depends on who is playing, really; some people gather in MS and some prefer the Dripping Dagger--it's a high traffic area for newer people, is located next to the high-dollar shops, and has an excellent menu compared to most inns around town. :3 Of course this is WD, and all sorts of people show up there.

The message pillar is the goto place, you just do not find too many drow.

If you are not city inclined, Ardeep is good as well. Wouldn't it be great to have a toggle to rp on and have players type where rp and locations show up. I've seen this in other MUDs. This might be a moot point given the nature of the playerbase.
