So I've been pondering for a while, It has been done for centuries. Capturing and forcing opponents and enemys to teach their trades their secrets. So if it were to be rp'd out what would the general ruling be? For instance baddie captures goodie tortures keeps kidnapped w/e untill they do as demanded teaching as the general focus as intent. So general concensus be hey is all fair as long as it is roleplayed out or harrasment to a player or some other positive or negitive result. I can see this both ways of course, and would have the chance to bring about some interesting roleplay.
Just curious for input.
Forced teaching?
Re: Forced teaching?
As with all aggressive IC situations, you need to speak with your fellow player, OOCly, about this. I have seen this done MULTIPLE times in the past to some success. If you communicate with your fellow player, you'll find most of them very understanding and willing to arrange things like this.
You should not be able to force anyone to do anything if they don't want it. Be considerate and, when in doubt, discuss options or storylines or plots with them OOCly to get an understanding of what you both want to get accomplished.

"He served, but found no pride in service. He fought, but took no joy in victory. He drank, to drown his pain in a sea of wine... ...It was hate that drove him. Though he committed many sins, he never sought forgiveness."
Re: Forced teaching?
Then there's the other end, where you consider that a forced lesson is often far, far less effective than one willingly given...though that would depend on the situation character and the rp establishing it.
Justice is not neccesarily honourable, it is a tolerable business, in essence you tolerate honour until it impedes justice, then you do what is right.

Of course I wouldn't expect a full training as best they could.
