Trying to wield a hand axe on my centaur and I get this:
A small hand axe is too small for you to wield it.
It is a tomahawk in the short axes category of weapons.
It can be picked up, held, held in both hands.
It cannot be worn with any other armour.
It is medium in size and would fit any body type.
Perfect for chopping small branches off trees for arrows.

If your centaur is sized large, you may need to just resize the handaxe bigger. Does this also happen with daggers and similar implements?
