Unable to Smote within the Ardeep's glade?

For some reason when you attempt to smote in the glade you receive a

I believe this was done intentionally and is not a bug. This was simply to be a safe place to leave mounts for Ardeep people, from what I understand.

I see, I have been concerned about the safety of the mounts in that room. I had been noticing that there were more commands that appeared to not be available within that room as well.

So, you can't take things from carts that are left there and such?

It's set as a quiet room. So you are unable to do anything inside the glade except tend your animals, get in, and get out. As Algon said, set up this way intentionally.
