Rather than being expressed as a fixed number, hit points are always displayed as a percentage. With the changes that allow a character to see their attributes and saving throws, and even weapon damage as it is - well, I think the 'xxx%' is an artifact of the old way of doing things. I would prefer to see my hit points as an actual total. I would not mind seeing my stamina the same way.
I cannot see how it would have any impact on the RP end of things, either.

Re: Show Me My Hit Points
Changing the percentage to hp would also mean the logical step of altering all the spell damage and healing descriptions as well. Is it really necessary to see your hp, when all incoming damage is shown with a descriptor to maintain the feel of RP? Honestly, I’m surprised that the actual damage from weapons appear on the score sheet. The less you deal with hard numbers and describe things with words the more immersive the environment becomes. As long as you have an efficient means of feedback from the game that describes the general amount of punishment taken I think it’s working as intended.

This is also a case of the where. It might make sense as an additional bit of information, but percentages are still useful for quick and easy assessment of character state. Perhaps it might more sense on the Score sheet, and leave the rest as it?

I agree with this. It would be much easier to put this in the score sheet than to try to adjust the VT interface I would imagine.Casamir wrote:This is also a case of the where. Re: Show Me My Hit Points
I like the idea of having hit points displayed in the Score Sheet rather than the VT prompt as well. Not only would it be nice to see what they are but it would also allow identification of possible bugs with health and various health altering affects and spells.
