[Spell] Magic Weapon (Greater)
At present we have the spell 'Magic Weapon' coded into a 3rd lvl spell slot for the classes that can use it, but the 3rd lvl spell slot version of Magic Weapon should be 'Greater Magic Weapon'. I'm wondering if we might shift Magic Weapon (gives +1 bonus regardless of level/skill level) down to 1st lvl spell slot and introduce 'Greater Magic Weapon' into 3rd where it belongs. Greater Magic Weapon should fit well if it scaled with skill level to give a bonus up to 3 (though canon gives 5) with a duration of 1 in-game hour per level. Thanks for reading.

It sounds like a good idea and a useful addition to the game.

+1 anything was as good as it got in FK until just recently. +3 would still be uber beyond uber, presently. This suggestion has merit, but I don't think until +3 weapons are actually available in-game should it be done, lest it be utterly out of proportion for a level 3 spell.

If the spell was a shorter duration and only gave +2 until you hit GM (Which would take forever, obviously) at which point it became +3, I think that may be fair. So very few people would be able to do it.

I don't know anything about the duration, but if it had +1 until expert, then +2 until GM (which would be +3) it would probably become a more useful spell. I couldn't see it doing anything to harm game balance since +2 weapons really have become the standard for level 50 characters. We have items that give +2 strength and spells that temporarily give +4 strength- why not have +2 weapons and spells that temporarily make +3 weapons? Just my thoughts.

If there are no +3 weapons, perhaps we should add some
Aside from that though, given how much FK wizards depends on weapons for the first few levels, I think it would be a welcome addition to get Magic Weapon as a 1st level spell.
