Problems connecting.

Post by Addisun » Sat Jul 12, 2014 6:35 pm

Up until yesterday, I've never had a problem connecting to FK via Mudlet or Mushclient, but now it seems that both don't want to work. At first, I thought this might be a problem with my own connection/ISP, but after awhile I got suspicious and checked to see if the HTML client on the website worked for me. It does, without any latency problems. I've been able to connect via my clients, but it seems like after a few minutes they rise to unplayable latency and then I get the "server closed the connection" message and get disconnected. Other times it won't connect at all.

Has anyone has a similar problem? Or possibly shed some light on this?

I've had similar issues in the past but it was indeed the connection I was on. I had no idea why it was happening but every few minutes I would simply lose connection and have to re-connect. Again and again. After a service call was made to the location the problem was solved. I wish I could be more of help or tell you why it was happening, but I just don't know.

The only resolution I found to this was to use a completely different modem, sadly. I already called my ISP - hopefully they figure it out. It seems to be working better, but I have no idea what that means for the other one considering it still works with everything else.
