Post by Lirith » Thu Sep 18, 2014 11:06 am

This is it. It's The Big One. The day of all days. Some of you will have no clue what I'm on about, but for those that do, holy crap am I excited. I can't concentrate on anything else.

Vive la révolution!

A big day for Scotland and the UK to be sure. I've been watching what little news we get on the topic. Can't say that I know the issues well, but good luck! Will be praying it all plays out peacefully, however it goes.

Speaking as an American, a heartily endorse the concept of independence from England. It turned out okay for us so far except for the whole 'soccer less popular here than hockey and only slightly more popular than tennis and professional wrestling' thing. That being said, I have not read anything about Scottish folk throwing tea or tea-like substances into bodies of water so I really have no idea how it will turn out for you if the vote goes that way.

On a side note, please please tell me that there was some sort of ad or pro-independence marketing campaign that just had some guy wearing a red white and blue suit with a bald eagle perched upon his shoulder staring at the camera with a big grin throwing the thumbs up sign.

A goblin, a trickster, a warrior? A nameless terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. A most feared being in all the cosmos. Nothing could stop, hold, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.

Och no. We bottled it but here's hoping for some change anyway. No Scottish passport for me (yet). :D
84% turnout on the vote! Incredible.
