The Long Walk (Mystrans and Allies)

Post by Elenthis » Fri Sep 26, 2014 10:58 pm

I'm thinking about doing it on:

http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/f ... p1=68&ah=4

But if that doesn't work for too many ppl, I'll push to the following Saturday.

The High Mage Elenthis sends out a missive to all who serve Mystra, Azuth, Savras, and any others who serve the Weave.

I would like to invite all who serve the Weave to join me in a symbolic pilgrimage. We will walk from the south of Waterdeep to the Anauroch desert and cast no spell on this walk. We shall rely on our allies for protection as we commit ourselves to this long journey, and while we travel, we will share knowledge, stories, and friendship.

Further, we invite all of our allies to come on our journey. We ask for your friendship, company, and protection as we set off on our path.

(OOC: This will be a slow-travel event, in which I expect there to be a LOT of RP.)

Just a reminder that this is coming up this Sunday. I hope to see many characters logged in both from the faith of Mystra, as well as from our allies!

I missed this event, sadly. So after finally getting my internet (Comcast Xifinity, Which Sucks Eternally and Should be taken to jail.) back it has been spotty all day, and although it's been storming (Which the Comcast Rep said was causing many outage issues, but I thought cable was ran underground for that reason.) Was there a log of this event Elenthis?

Sorry as well, unfortunate timing as this is Canadian thanksgiving weekend. I wanted to attend but maybe next time.

I would like to thank everyone who was able to make it! Due to the low-ish turnout of pilgrims, and the high turnout of friends and allies, we did speed it up a little. We were still able to pay proper homage, got our butts kicked good and proper, fixed a pothole without magic, and had some GREAT conversation! All-in-all, a success! We even had a special guest stop in for a minute :-D

To those who couldn't make it, this was an experiment in a different kind of 'event'. Generally one I think which was mostly successful. I'm going to work on organizing better, and tweaking a few things to make it streamline a bit better, and we might do something somewhat similar soon(ish).

Thanks again, all!

Jeff/Elenthis.

Thanks for the fun. Even with losing a level it was great. Just wish I had not had to rush off so fast.
