Tracking - Suddenly bugged?

I use this skill a considerable amount but suddenly I find that I can't get any result from it at all.

100+ tries to pick up a mob that I have visually confirmed is in the zone, with "find the path" active and Owls Wisdom running and I still couldn't get a "hit".

This is usually related to vision and time of day. What mobile and where were you attempting this?

Oops. Sorry. I didn't notice this until now.

I was searching for dunewinders in the Aunaroch. It was night I think, but I have darkvision.

Subsequent tests have shown no real issue. It was just more difficult than I expected, even using find the path.
