Online Tabletop Game

Post by Algon » Sun Dec 21, 2014 9:04 pm

Hello all!
Myself and another player are toying with the idea of getting an online Tabletop game together and wanted to see if anyone would be interested in giving it a shot with us? We would be running FR of course, 3.5 more than likely.
Feel free to respond here, or PM me if you have any questions.
Cheers!

If someone is accustomed to, and willing to DM, please contact myself or Algon via PM. Nice to see some interest already!

I've never played a tabletop game that wasn't Pokemon Monopoly before, but I'd be interested in this if there's still room/newbs are fine!
What are you talking about? What, that guy?
That was like that when I got here.

I've never played, but I'd be interested!

I am also interested in doing this as well.

So... how would you do this, though?

There are a few programs that allow you to play D&D online, it has built in Cam and audio support, you can draw maps, and also built in dice rollers so everyone sees the rolls. :) Some pretty cool stuff!

I would be down, but I'd be audio only unless I went to buy a cam.

Have you thought about class/race restrictions?

Not 100% sure just yet. It is going to take me a little bit to get everything set up. I have to get the campaign set up and get the roll20 site ready for everyone. So it will likely be a couple of weeks before we are ready to do much of anything. We are kind of learning this as we go, so please be patient. We have decided I think, that we will be play 5th edition, it seems to be a little more new player friendly.
I am going to be running the game, DM wise and Tortus is going to be handling questions and tips player side. So feel free to PM either of us, or my aim is AlgonofTempus, I am available there most of the time.

I haven't had a lot of time to poke my head into the thread, but I wanted to say I was interested as well. 5E sounds pretty cool, too--some of the FK guys got me to read into it and I like what I've read.

First group should be just about ready to get started. We will be doing a trial run soon, I am hoping at around This time. For those who have already been contacted about this, please let me know if this works for you all.

For those who were interested and were not contacted, I will be running a duplicate campaign once we get all the kinks forked out, so you will have a chance too! :D

I guess only one person could make this time. We will try again some other time.

Sorry for missing the past few sessions. I had a surprise arrival of a second client so my workload is nuts. Sadly may be on extended absence.
