Poison delivery and random deaths

Poison delivery and random deaths

This is a 3 in one post. I was killing the brown and grey rats this morning...., the ones in waterdeep that need a typo fixing in their long-title since *through* is mispelt to throught and first major problem is I died from one surge of their poison.
I'm a level 47 character with 16 con so I'm not even sure how that happens or makes any sense since my level 11 character didn't even drop 1 percent through multiple surges of the same poison. Also, It brings to the forfront an issue with these mobs in general. There are a few in the game that deliver things like disease and poison without ever physically being able to do so because of stone skin or other dr and this unfortunately is one of them. As far as I can tell this doesn't extend to all mobs with diseased / poisoned attacks so I'm wondering why these were designed like that to buggily ignore all defenses.
I trained up double-edged bananas because the uber-plantain of doom I scored from the beehive quest was the best weapon in the game. Now it's being treated like a bug and they have gimped its damage! That's not fair! My character is ruined!
