Howling Peak Underdark Entrance
Howling Peak Underdark Entrance
Hello,
I was recently in Howling Peak with my mount.. very expensive mount.. and was walking downward toward the entrance to the Underdark. I have not been to that spot in some time, but I do remember having to type 'Tunnel' or something to actually enter the Underdark.
This time I typed look down and saw it was a garbage filled room and decided it was safe to walk one step further only to have it dump me into the full Underdark. I wouldn't mind to much but as it happens there are purple worms that roam that area.
The worm died but so did my very expensive mount. I'm not sure if this is just a bug or if it was changed for a reason but it may be best to bring back the extra step of typing tunnel to enter the Underdark.
Thanks!

Tunnel is what you type to leave that room. You are only prompted on your first time, and warned fairly clearly. You come again to a foul-smelling maw of the Underdark and a
familiar chill comes to greet you. Do you enter?
OOC: The Underdark is hazardous for everyone, but
OOC: especially for those below level 35. If you
OOC: wish to enter then type yes (not say yes, but
OOC: just yes and enter as normal).

I didn't realize it takes away the full tunnel command when agreeing to it. Its just a suggestion.

To clarify, what Talos is saying is that it does not 'take away' anything. The entrance is, as it has always been, 'down'. Once in the Garbage-filled Tunnel, to leave the Underdark, is where you type 'Tunnel'. Nothing about entering the Underdark through there is different, except that it does not prompt you with the full warning after your first time entering.
What are you talking about? What, that guy?
That was like that when I got here.

I have added a final clarification to it that by agreeing to the warning, you will not be asked further.

Re: Howling Peak Underdark Entrance
I'm not familiar with the room in question, but if the warning is only issued once you've already entered the area maybe it would be a good idea to make that first room flagged no_mob? Unless I'm misunderstanding, seems like warning $n after they've already started getting mobbed is a bit too late.
Re: Howling Peak Underdark Entrance
It warns before you can enter the Underdark.

Ah, I did misunderstand then. Ignore me!

Thanks for adding the final clarification. Sometimes early mornings or late nights these things don't connect as well as they should!
