Alaron Drow- new weapons
Alaron Drow- new weapons
Every drow unit in the Alaron invasion uses the same sharp longsword and shield. I find this inappropriate for the wizards and the priestesses. Wizards should use a staff or a dagger, while the priestess should use that scary snake whip thing.

Also, the wizards are wearing the adamatine light mail and pulling off skills like Third Attack.

Re: Alaron Drow- new weapons
Aren't drow supposed to be a bit more challenging? I believe that this area is one of the more challenging and xp rewarding places in the game, which is probably why the enemies are difficult to face. As for weapons, the area has been built and rebuilt repeatedly over the years, I believe the current weapons are coded to the type of mobile used. For example, the mobile might be labelled as a wizard but it may be a bard codewise to avoid constantly lobbing instant kill spells etc. I'd welcome the weapon changes as long as they are non magic and base material. In my opinion magic weapons should not drop unless it's a quest reward.

And besides. I think its become a hallmark of FK that most wizards use swords, axes and polearms more than staves.
I feel like its an overexaggeration but to date. I only know of 3 other wizard chars other than mine that use a sturdy piece of wood.
This fact both appauls and amuses me in equal measure.

I trained up double-edged bananas because the uber-plantain of doom I scored from the beehive quest was the best weapon in the game. Now it's being treated like a bug and they have gimped its damage! That's not fair! My character is ruined!
Re: Alaron Drow- new weapons
If it is not effecting game play I would much rather staff spend their time fixing what is actually broken or adding new areas to the game. Instead of fixing something because a couple players are too OCD to not care that it's working fine but not astectically pleasing or what ever

Alright... I'll put this in the time capsule and bring it up again in five years. Maybe we can get around to make changes then.

Or you could apply to build an area in similar scope and design but with your changes in place? Alaron is but one part of the Moonshaes.
