I haven't done this yet, but am looking forward to it. I've avoided it thus far only because I discovered that cmud has my tenkey set as a directional pad, which has saved me a lot of trouble, actually. Especially when trying to go diagonally anywhere. So many letters otherwise.

Recently, my "o" key has been half-way stuck into the keyboard. Sometimes when I hit it, it doesn't register. When checking my score, I sometimes type in "scre."
I wonder how many hours I've played on this character.... ARRGH!

Speaking of name mixups: Twice now I've witnessed the glory that is someone introducing themselves as such- "I am Selune, Priestess of (playername)

For me initially it was always forgetting to greet after introducing myself.

I know that it is a common mistake, but I still always felt horrible about it.

"Hi, I'm (character name.)"

"Oh, hi (character name), I'm (character name)"

OK I got it. Multiple embarrassing moment accumulated all through my first 5 or so months of play.

I never went into cormyr or explored well over half of the map because everytime I looked north to the bridge of fallen men I saw:

A purple dragon is nearby north from here

And in my head I was like.... wth is barnie doing here. I thought this was dnd... proceed to stringently not pee myself as to why there are dragons on the road / bridge and move away.
