Two words: gopherchucks
Justice is not neccesarily honourable, it is a tolerable business, in essence you tolerate honour until it impedes justice, then you do what is right.

Spelling is not necessarily correct :)

At this point, I'm gonna chain the Waterdeep Market Constable to Bostave the Mage and use that as nunchucks.

I'm leaning towards the whip, simply love the idea of the lash damage, not as big on the numbers as lots of others, but it's just fun.

As a lover of rogues, I love the rapier.

It has good stats, even better with improved critical, and it is one of the few non-light weapons that allow the use of the feat weapon finesse.

Personally I like quarterstaves or just staves really. They're one of the simplest to learn and most versatile of tools be it combat or survival.

From a purely damage dealing standpoint I think the zweihander (two-handed) or the katana are good picks. Both have incredible damage and defense capabilities as long as you have the training to use them. Their only draw back is their length, in CQC length tends to be a hindrance.

The gladius is one of the best designs for short swords out there and it did a lot of help the Triari of Rome when pitted against Gaul CQC barbarians, fighters, and the vikings in general.
On the topic of vikings, their throwing axe was one of the best anti-personnel weapons as it bounced when thrown correctly at the ground and leaped up under the shield into the gut or groin to immobilize or kill shielded soldiers.

I guess I don't have just one favorite but the staff is at the top of the list of my go to weapons.

I like the staff as well. Have you ever seen some of the videos put out by the British Quarterstaff association?

There really was a Gnorm years ago. For at least a few hours FK had the entire cast of Cheers as gnomes.
