Surname Option

Post by teepo » Sun Oct 25, 2015 6:40 am

I know we've pretty much defaulted to using the Title command to give our chracters Surnames, but what about having a dedicated part of the character file for Surnames? This way if someone goofy like myself who changes their title doesn't forget or mispell their Surname later on.

Just a thought, if it's too much work I'd understand not wanting to put that much time into something so minimal.

Forgive me, but in my opinion this reasoning doesn't support the coder effort it would take for a very, very busy coder.

Being able to change the spelling of your last name can be a good thing, too.

(I'm looking at you, Lylena.)
What are you talking about? What, that guy?
That was like that when I got here.

The game lets you set an in-game alias.

Set an alias called "fixmytitle" to "title Surname, the Absentminded"

Problem solved. No coder time required.

For unrelated reasons, I approve this message.

Just a suggestion. Not a demand. :) as stated in original post I would understand if it was too much.

I save all my surname and title changes in the alias command files.
Justice is not neccesarily honourable, it is a tolerable business, in essence you tolerate honour until it impedes justice, then you do what is right.

Spelling is not necessarily correct :)
